Horned Coral Beetle

This beetle lives near coral reefs. It spends most of its time on shore, but it commonly enters the water. Tiny hairs over its exoskeleton, which give it a velvety feel, allows it to hold small air bubbles for it to breathe. While they are usually heavy enough to stay weighted to the ocean floor, they are often carried out when the current is strong...
